Motorola Defy - Unleashing the beast of ruggedness

First of all the Motorola Defy was release with specs ing GSMarena as a 800mhz cpu,, with no GPU and 3.7 touchscreen, which is put in the middle class android phone. Unfortunately they're wrong...
The Motorola Defy packs a  TI OMAP3 architecture OMAP3630 800mhz underclock 1000Ghz Overclocked and a powerful GPU which is PowerVR SGX530, which is comparable to most top end phones like the Galaxy S, Droid etc, and even the iphone4 has one!

  • The best selling point of the phone is: Waterproof, Dustproof and Shockproof. Which is the first ever android smart phone to offer this features.
  • The screen is also a plus!, which is 480 x 854 pixels, 3.7 inches (~265 ppi pixel density), compared to HTC Desire S 480 x 800 pixels, 3.7 inches (~252 ppi pixel density).
  • The Motorola Defy has also a 512MB RAM which is good for multitasking and 3d games.
  • It has good 5MP Autofocus Camera, With LED Flash. (The led flash color was like Warm White)
  • It also has a multi-colored LED lights, which notifies you when you have an unread txt message or missed calls
  • Light and proximity sensors for auto adjustment of brightness and auto off LCD when taking calls

The Downside of Motorola Defy is, it has no front facing camera used for application like skype, and the camera was a bit grainy on low light conditions.

Now you may be wondering how the heck can I overclock my defy up to 1000Mhz? Well this is the answer ROOT it and install a custom ROM like Cyanogenmod7 and MIUI. Well the downside of modding your ROM will void your warranty "unless" you revert or reinstall your stock ROM. Reinstalling the ROM may be handy if you're phone is faulty and needed a free repair.
